Add Calendar Event will take whatever text you've selected an attempt to parse it into a date that it can enter into iCal. The event or to do will show up in a new calendar called "CalendarCreator", which will be created for you if it doesn't exist. iCal gets launched to add the event or appointment, so you can simply change with which calendar the event is associated straight away.
Undeservedly bad reviews of a good and useful piece...

...of software...
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Works fine through 10.3.8. Can't agree with some of the reviews. (For instnce, alternative input support is not a requirement but a nicety - just because the program doesn't do what you want isn't a reason to "diss" it). Hope it will still work in Tiger and later (no updates since 2003).

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
this software won't understand the system's way of using dates other than the anglo-american way. won't do any good to french, swedish, german ... users, because the entries end up either in nirvana or in the month that has the day's number (entry for dec, 10th ends up as march, 12th).
Very useul and works as advertised

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Even has it's ownl color in iCal. However, if no month is specified, puts entries in the current month, even if the date is earlier than today. Default should be for the next month (or should present a dialog box to make a choice).
