Used BuzzTV - Mobile Media Player for Android?
Editors’ Review
Plays M3U playlists and connects to Xtream Codes APIs, bringing the BuzzTV 6 engine’s fast channel switching and set-top box interface to Android phones and tablets. BuzzTV, the developer, adapts that set-top experience for mobile in this lifestyle app. It offers universal search, EPG and Catch-up TV support, multiple playlist management, and a Home Screen tuned for Live TV and VOD navigation. It's aimed at IPTV enthusiasts and existing hardware users who want consistent access to subscriptions on the go.
Mobile zapping speed mirrors the set-top experience
The app is rebuilt on the BuzzTV 6 engine, a change that the developer links to faster channel switching and improved stability. That engine underpins the player’s navigation: channel changes and menu movements feel brisk on modern devices, and the Home Screen prioritizes Live TV and VOD for quick selection. For people who expect the responsiveness of a box UI on a phone, the app delivers a close match.
What media servers and playlists it connects with
The app acts as a shell for user-provided media, supporting common IPTV protocols and multiple playlist management. Supported inputs include:
- M3U playlist files
- Xtream Codes API connections
Touch-first navigation and who it’s aimed at
The interface is designed for mobile touchscreens, with a modern Home Screen and controls tuned for tapping and swiping. Onboarding favors users already familiar with the BuzzTV ecosystem and those comfortable adding playlists or API credentials; the layout and terminology mirror the developer’s hardware apps. Accessibility features are not detailed here, but the app’s focus on direct navigation and search suits viewers who prefer quick, gesture-driven control.
Daily reliability, extras, and reception
The player includes EPG support and Catch-up TV, so scheduling and short-term replay are available within the app. It's optimized for current Android releases, which the developer cites for best performance. User commentary notes a modern interface and improved speed compared with previous mobile clients from the same developer, suggesting the update addressed earlier navigation and stability frictions for regular viewing sessions.

Bottom Line
To sum up, a mobile-first choice for DIY IPTV users
