One of the dangers of sharing your creative work online is that other people can easily steal it and claim it as their own. Watermarks are one easy way to make sure that your name is never disassociated from your digital images. WaterMark V2 is a versatile program that lets users add custom watermarks to their images without a lot of hassle.

The program's interface isn't the most intuitive thing we've ever seen, but we were able to figure it out fairly easily with a bit of poking around. The first step involves creating the watermark itself, and we like the high level of customization that the program offers. Users can create watermarks with multiple layers of images and text and adjust the opacity as desired. Users then select the size of the watermark in pixels and the location that it will be placed on the images. There are multiple options for image output; images can be saved in their original format or as BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, or TIFF files. Images can also be resized, renamed, and have their quality adjusted. Once these options are set, users need only select the files they want to watermark, specify whether they want to overwrite the original files or create new ones, and click Start. The program quickly watermarked our images and deposited them in the desired location. We especially liked the fact that the program's various settings can be saved as profiles, allowing users to create collections of specific settings and reuse them whenever they like. The program loses points for not having a Help file, but this shouldn't be a major stumbling block for most users. Overall, we think that WaterMark V2 is a great choice for anyone looking for a simple way to add watermarks to batches of images.
