This screensaver's lack of features and restrictive trial limitation ensure it won't compel most users for very long. The Buddha Desk Screen Saver demo gives you only two images--one of a stone statue and one of three young children--that slowly dissolve into one another. We did find this transition effect relaxing, and we thought the quotes accompanying the pictures were quite inspiring. However, we were less than thrilled with the virtually nonexistent feature set. You get the option to mute the sound, but even when we activated the audio, we heard nothing. We're not sure if this is a serious bug or just another demo restriction. Despite its negatives, this program doesn't have the biggest downside of many other screensavers, which is bundled spyware. Though we can see how some folks might find the Buddha Desk Screen Saver calming, many others will want customization options and more content.
