DoNotTrackMe for Chrome is a helpful application that prevents online trackers from collecting your data while you surf the Web. Neatly blending into Chrome, this add-on gives you control of your browser and provides security tools to protect your personal information.

Pros

Awesome performance: Upon loading a new website, we noted that DoNotTrackMe's blocking capabilities were fast and reliable. While this program can block most tracking services, an innovative feature suggests which trackers may be beneficial for you, preserving your online experience.

Privacy protection: Besides blocking trackers, DoNotTrackMe for Chrome masks your personal email address from advertisers and the like. This option is somewhat limited in the free version of this application, but we found the email forwarding to be timely and secure.

Excellent support: The online how-to guides and FAQs answered all questions that we had about this program. Additionally, DoNoTrackMe offers an 800 number for more advanced technical support, so we are confident that you will never be lost.

Cons

Weaker than competitors: We ran DoNotTrackMe against a similar program and observed that DoNotTrackMe usually blocked 10-20 percent fewer trackers than its competitor. This isn't a large issue, but it does make us wary about how well the paid version of this software will perform.

Bottom Line

DoNotTrackMe for Chrome's blocking and privacy features are near perfect -- you will find very few faults. We suggest that DoNotTrackMe add more personalization features, such as Ghostery's whitelist option. Pops up whenever a password is required. Requires a sign in. After I sign in, any action taken fails. This is a useless piece of excrement. How do I get it off of Chrome?

I used MaskMe, DeleteMe, and DNTM and recommended them to pretty much everyone I knew...
Cons
...now people are saying that the above (and Blur included) are not properly downloading, constantly giving them errors / issues on pages, or fighting their different browsers for control over some login elements. I'd thought it was a fluke and they just weren't using it right until now MM tells me that my password is incorrect EVEN THOUGH IT WORKS to view the saved passwords. I cannot join Blur until the MM password is accepted, and I can't change the MM password without losing approximately a year worth of saved information. The only support option when opened now shows "This department does not exist"...
Summary
Great concept and wonderful that they've combined some functionality - but with 0 support on a paid application and buggy account management (the differing information with whether or not my password is correct) means I simply cannot recommend this to anyone. What a shame.

Great software & they really go above & beyond when explaining how it works and the technology,research behind it as well as their goals to the consumers privacy. Everyone should download and use it. After using it a little over a month,I have recommended it to my family and friends (which I have rarely, if ever done) and its FREE as well as, the "Mask" email. Oh yeah, they are even rated highly by the "Wall Street Journal", "PC-Magazine", "PC- Digest", "Better Business Bureau", CNet.... Folks that's pretty impressive by any ones standards, not to many "FREE APPS" can please all those Critics and Tech's or certainly get any BS past them. Maybe BS 1 or 2 at best... not all them though... WOW !!! I bet the "Ad-Stalkers" agencies hate them & are struggling right along with the "ID Thieves" and "Hackers" that bombard every computers inbox in the universe. "Delete Me" is a Small fee annually, but the 2 Free apps alone were all I felt I needed because of their strengths & integrity and functionality. Just felt the Free apps were fine for me as an individual. Maybe if I were doing Wealth Management or something sensitive like that involving multiple clients and their info I would definitely consider it. Was great when I had it.

Had a problem with my computer. Then DNT wasn't working. My pages were waiting for it and nothing would load. So I decided to remove it and re-download. When I try to, it saves a file called "epanfjkfahimkgomnigadpkobaefekcd_9564.crx" that my computer can't open to my downloads. Any ideas?
