Bissantz SparkMaker is an add-in for Excel, Word and PowerPoint that creates sparklines (mini-graphs) in dashboards, spreadsheets, presentations and reports. Sparklines compress large amounts of data into bar or line sparklines. SparkMaker 4 uses the "minimized-clicks" approach, which helps you automatically condense your data into sparklines. User-defined functions for Excel XP, 2003, Office 2007 and 2010, like "Sparkline (cellrange)", make sure that changes in your data are reflected automatically in your sparkline diagram. Sparklines are also available in vector-oriented Enhanced Metafile format, which allows for scaling, ungrouping, and modification. Integration of sparklines on Web sites is realized with bitmap files (BMP, GIF, JPG, or PNG) that are exported by Bissantz SparkMaker. Note: The entry level to sparklines is free with the free edition while experts use the Basic or Pro edition.

SparkMaker can be used with Excel-based OLAP frontends.

Implementation of Sparklines easier than ever before

Pros
SparkMaker is an excellent tool for generating 6 different types of Sparklines quickly and effectively. SparkMaker allows the user to create a Sparkline through the use of a dialog box or Excel function. The two different methods allow the user to easily select the type and features associated with each Sparkline. The features include, but are not limited to scales, coloring, standard deviation and number format. SparkMaker is also a flexible tool and each Sparkline can be imported into several different programs including Access and Crystal Reports. <p> <p>It is definitely worth the small fee associated after the free trial.
Cons
One limitation of the SparkMaker is the inability to specify certain features using the Excel Function. An example of this is color type of bars. For typical use the dialog box is a feasible alternative, but for complex data systems that require automation and the capacity to import/export some manual implementation is still necessary. Secondly, if exporting into programs other than Word or Excel is a priority the Sparkline may not be supported in .html.
