Bigasoft iMovie Converter gives you the tools to make all of your digital video files compatible with iMovie by changing them into an MP4 format. With this tool, you can convert from tons of different formats and enjoy all of your videos on your Mac in no time.

Pros

Nice interface: This app features an accessible and streamlined interface, with clear controls for adding videos, editing them if necessary, and then initiating the conversion. Files being converted are listed in a large box in the middle of the window along with their status. That means users of all experience levels will have no problem using this program.

Editing suite: While you can certainly use this app to convert finished movies that you just want to be able to watch on your Mac, Bigasoft also offers a nice set of editing tools that you can use to modify and enhance your movie. Add filters and effects with immediate previews that you can easily compare to the originals as they run simultaneously next to each other.

Cons

Not fast: This app does not complete conversions terribly quickly. In fact, all of the files we tested took longer to convert than they do to run, meaning you'll have to allow plenty of time before you actually want to watch the video.

Bottom Line

If you're looking for a program to convert files to play through iMovie, this app is worth checking out. You can try it for free for use on clips that are five minutes or less, and if you like the results, a full version costs $29.95. It does offer a lot of nice features, and as long as you take longer conversion times into account, it performs well, overall.

It just helped me from like 400 videos, all converted into MP4 , and can be played now. Thank God! Really can not imagine what should I do without it.

it is not a converter, it can do a lot more. You can even edit the movie with it. So I guess I can make a video with its edit function.

it's helpful. i can enjoy the video recorded by iMovie on my windows laptop. drag and drop my iMovie files to the converter, output them in compatible format with windows, easy to operate and the conversion is fast.

Easy to directly download MP3 from YouTube. And it eaven supports DAV input formats. I helped my friend to convert his DAV to MOV using this tool.
