The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of commandments which were handed down to the Israelites by God on Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments are listed twice in the Hebrew Bible, first at Exodus 20:117, and then at Deuteronomy 5:421.

COMMANDMENT 1

I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me.
