BeWidgets is a free desktop personalization tool designed for Windows users, allowing them to create customizable widgets that display various types of information. The program features two theming options—light and dark—as well as a range of icons to tailor the look of the widgets. Users can add elements such as time, weather, financial information, and a photo gallery, making it a versatile tool for enhancing desktop aesthetics. Its compatibility with both Windows 10 and 11 ensures that a broad user base can benefit from its functionality.
The application is inspired by earlier desktop gadgets, providing a modern and efficient way to populate the desktop with useful information at a glance. Each widget can be adjusted in size, position, and corner radius, promoting a high degree of customization. However, it lacks certain features found in similar applications, particularly the absence of system performance metrics, which would enhance its utility for users looking to monitor their PC's performance.
