Baseball is a strategic game and, as such, isn't exactly action-packed. That said, a homer over the right-field wall gets fans on their feet every time. Baseball Mogul 2005 has all the strategy of the world of baseball, with unfortunately none of the action. The game makes you GM of a professional baseball club with the goal of creating a pennant-winning team. Wrestle with player's agents, trade pitchers and sluggers, and try not to run the team into the red. As the MLB approved this game, it comes loaded with statistics and pictures of some of the game's most seasoned players. However, you won't hear the crowd cheer or jeer, as there's no gameplay, no line drives or pop flies. If you're a number cruncher and you like to pour over statistics with your bowl of Wheaties every morning, this game will please.

The game uses actual player statistics to play the game. The actual major league teams names and players are used. Trades and free agents, budgets and expenses are all realistic. Great game, always being updated with more and better features.

Best baseball sim on the market. No fantsy graphics to impress you just you and your raw managerial guts batteling it out with the computer for a baseball dynasty of your own. Can you keep the hot all-star player after he's finished a killer season...and do it without going bankrupt? Can you pull a Billy Bean and win with a $45 million payroll? All this is up to you in this game. 2006 will be ten times better but this version will get you hooked. After all you're not watching that former sport of the ice so why not play baseball.

I love the product line from Sportsmogul. I first started playing bm2k3, then bought 2k4, 2k5 has been out for a while, with the new transaction log and real $$$ you cant go wrong in buying this game
