Bakery Story is an exceptionally fun and addictive cooking simulator, even if it isn't the most original game of its kind. In fact, it's a spitting image of a popular Facebook game, even down to its distinctive graphics. That means that you'll have no problem learning and loving this game, if you're a fan of its distant relative.

This game lets you take control of a boutique bakery, starting with its décor and name and later what you serve and how many customers you can handle. Different foods and drinks take different amounts of time to make (as little as one minute to as much as 12 hours or more). If that sounds familiar, that's because this game is a dead ringer for Café World, the hit Facebook game. Just like that one, Bakery Story lets you unlock more food and decoration options as you advance in level, allowing you to serve more customers and give them different food options. If you're inclined to sign up for the app's social network, you can visit other cafes and work together to accomplish missions. You can get notifications when your food is done cooking, so you can serve it. The app's graphics are incredibly cute, but that makes the game a tough sell for people who aren't interested in cutesy games.

There's nothing here that you couldn't find elsewhere, but it's all delivered in a very fun package. Bakery Story feels oddly formulaic, especially if you've played any similar games, but that doesn't mean it's bad by any means. In fact, people who enjoy Café World and similar games will find a lot to like here.
