  Summary

  I began to notice that some applications on my Mac from time to time are waging a fierce fight for the computer resources. So today I would like to express my gratitude to the wonderful program that helps me work more efficiently. This "miracle" is a utility Blitz, designed for all users running heavy applications.They are sometimes really difficult to roll over among many smaller processes, thus, contribute to this wide variety of factors: from the amount of RAM, and ending with high-speed characteristics of the hard disk. In this case, Blitz can focus on this "monster", resulting in a large layout in Photoshop or three-dimensional rendering to be processed relatively quickly. Utility artificially inhibits the "all other processes in the system by allocating all available resources for a specific process or processes, if more than one. Immediately after launching the application in the menu bar you will see its icon. If you click the mouse on it, then the menu will display a list of all running applications (for obvious reasons, the system processes the utility does not obey), but at the very top of the list - the current program. If you select this menu item «Focus on», then next to the names of all other programs will pause icon, their windows will be slightly blurry, but take away their resources in this case the Finder. Undo can focus point «Defocus». The user can "slow down" certain applications by selecting them in the list. Subjectively, on my computer, I felt a performance boost! I will say this - I was satisfied with the program Blitz. Thanks to the developers for a very useful product! Best Regards Vitaly!

• Nothing random about the dice rolls

  Can be fun and challenging but the dice are not random...

  If you played backgammon or dice before you can tell this thing is rolling random dice

  Pros

  I love backgammon, so I'll play anyway. I enjoy the occasional popup of alternative moves.

  Cons

  I kept track, and the odds are in favor of the opponent, at least as far as doubles go. Just count how many come up in any game. In a series of three games, 15 doubles went to my opponent, and I got five. That was about the worst. Usually its 3 to 2.

  Mr. Berger has obvioulsly directed this game to foks who play Bacgammon for a living. It is loaded with statistical features most players would never use or even recognize. Yet such basic features as ratings are missing. As a result there is no way to know if your play is improving. Also most players want a "hint" or "best move" button. This feature is included but you have to first access it through a menu, get a numerical list of best moves and then ask to have it shown to you graphically. When the pieces move they are obsured by the dialog box and move so fast you have no idea of the best move. 3D fibs handles both of these issues very easliy for the avergae player and it is free. If you're a pro this program provides a great feature set at a resonalbe price (compaared to Snowie or Jellyfish). However the other 99 % of players shoudl avoid it.

  The website tells us it doesn't cheat. Yes it does!! Its like playing against someone who has the perfect game every game. When it leaves itself open you will NOT get the dice you need....ever. Therefore it can play however it likes knowing its safe. Even if you try to play an unorthodox game it will throw the right dice for its benefit. If this consistently happened in a real match you would assume the dice were loaded therefore not a great teaching aid as it doesnt reflect the real game i.e. skill but a large amount of lucky dice!!

  Pros

  Plays fast without a error or problem. Easy to install and uninstall. With double cube and better moves indication. You need Java Runtime Environment from the java website for this game. It is possible to resign the game to save time. I think this is the best backgammon game for your money.
