Convert mp3 audiobooks to ipod-compatible m4b format.
Got a lot of audiobooks in MP3 format and would like to listen them on your iPod? Audiobook Binder comes to rescue. It is a simple utility that converts audiobooks to MP4 bookmarkable (m4b) format. Supports author/title M4B tags. Automatically adds newly generated book to iTunes media library. Command-line version is available for batch processing.
Maybe the fact that sometimes dragging files up and down moves them into other files looking like subchapters.
Summary
I have pretty much converted a huge collection of mp3 and other audiobooks I had into m4b using this app. I wish everything else worked as straightforward and reliably as this. The other review probably refers to some old version - i had no issues at all in over a year I have used it. Just want to thank the folks who created it!!

Summary
I converted 3 separate audiobooks that all had several mp3 tracks. All m4b files came up significantly shorter than the combined time of the individual mp3 tracks for each audiobook. For example, one audiobook had 407 individual mp3 tracks that totaled 33 hours. After conversion, the single m4b track was only 6 hours long. I'm not sure what happened to the other 27 hours of the audiobook. This happened with all three audiobooks I attempted to convert. Maybe I was supposed to rename all the tracks before converting them... Rather than changing the name of 407 tracks, I'd rather just use FCPX or Audacity. Maybe I did something else wrong?@#!? Who knows, but after 3 attempts, it's just easier to find another program that does what it says it will do and is self-explanatory. I'm running 10.6.8. Maybe that was the problem. It's unfortunate because the design of the program appears to be fairly simple.
