This application finds and downloads streaming-music video files on the Web, but it works with only a few commercial sites and is not for the easily frustrated. Music Video Downloader is actually a package of several utilities: One searches music services for videos and extracts the URLs for downloadable files. Another extracts URLs from shortcuts the user has copied from sites such as RollingStone.com and VH1.com. To actually download the videos, you plug the processed URLs into yet another utility called Net Transport. It's an unwieldy arrangement. Another minus is that you can't configure the software to search other music sites. Also, the HTML help file is accessible from only one of the utilities. If you're a daily customer of, for example, Launch.com, this application is great for downloading video files. However, if you're looking for a way to save streaming video from other sites, look elsewhere.

I love CNET... But for some reason each time i tried to download this AUDIO/VIDEO DOWNLOADER, what showed up was a Broderbund Quick Prints app. which then wouldn't open... Huh?

Clicking the Download link downloads a .PHP file - not an executable file. No instructions about how to get this working.
Summary
It's clear the idiot Editor did not actually try this, because he failed to mention that this is a PHP file that requires another program to run it -but what program? Because there is no information on this. Yet again CNET has proved itself incompetent.

There is not much depth in this software. I liked TubeSucker way better, even the free version is cool and has a lot more features than this one. I actually bought is TubeSucker Turbo, so I think that says a lot.

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT THROUGH SHARE IT AND ZHEADWARE NEVER CONTACTED ME WITH MY REGISTRY KEY. AFTER 2 WEEKS AND ABOUT 5 EMAILS, SHARE IT HAD TO GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE THE PUBLISHER NEVER GAVE ME MY REGISTRY KEY TO UNLOCK THE PRODUCT! WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS?

Easy program, if you could figure it out.
Cons
The software is machine only (part of the licence requires the computer ID number), if you change out the motherboard and the CPU you will have to buy a new licence. The developer will not respond to e-mails, even after several days. I do not recomend this product due to the lack of customer support.

This is pretty cool. I know what the developer is trying to do.
