ArtStudio - Draw and Paint LITE for iOS

ArtStudio provides an artistic platform and canvas loaded with tools that allow you to create a number of different types of drawings and paintings. The result is a fun-to-use, and surprisingly powerful app that can emulate any number of real-world art tools--from different sizes and styles of brushes to spray paints, pencils, pens, and more.

There is no setup process for ArtStudio. Simply install the app, open it, and start drawing on the canvas that appears onscreen. On an iPhone it feels a little small, especially with the menus at the top and bottom of the screen; but with a full-screen option, that quickly fades. In terms of tools, there are many. From the basic drawing tools to multilayer support, to masking and filter integration, you can do some incredible things with this app. It's not as stylized as some other sketching apps (you still need to do the heavy lifting in creating your artwork), but the effects are impressive onscreen, no matter how you work them out. The brush strokes, in particular, are very well programmed and look great.
