  Everything but one thing (see Cons). It's got that old-school feel to it, is a very satisfying simulator, features an original storyline with a disturbingly realistic background scenario.

  Cons

  You need to use DOSBox and look for a tutorial to get the full game to run.

  Summary

  If you can't see what a gem this game is, you probably weren't even born when this beauty was released. Back then, it those were top-of-the-line graphics and we weren't used to games we could play through in six hours or less. Granted, this is one of the shorter games, but it will still keep you occupied for at least ten to fifteen hours, depending on whether you actually enjoy the atmosphere and dialogue (as cheesy as some of it may be) or just click through every sequence and chat there is. The controls are pretty tight. In 99 out of 100 cases, the game will do exactly what you want it to. Also, for that time, the AI was pretty good. All in all, this makes for quite a challenging game, depending on how good you are, cause this game certainly doesn't hold your hand as much as newer ones do. Yes, the game was released back in 1996, if you haven't figured that out by now, so don't expect Crysis 10. But if graphics are the only thing you base a rating of this game on, you probably won't recognize a good game if it kicked you right in the nuts. Bottom-line: If you're tired of all the crap that's being released nowadays, download the demo, if you must, or just go ahead and look for the full game right away. It's still out there and it's still great. 5 stars aren't enough for this underrated classic (then again, they also said Wing Commander: Prophecy wasn't good, so I can see where today's bad taste in computer games comes from).
