Update drivers for Xserve & Macs with Apple PCI ethernet card.
This update provides improved connection stability. This updater is recommended for all Xserve systems and PowerMac systems with the Apple PCI or PCI-X Ethernet card installed.

I do agree about the vagueness of the update, though.
So far, so good...

Installed the 10.2.8 version on my Beige G3 withthe Apple PCI 10/100 card of the same vintage. much to my suprise, the ethernet connection still works - then again, it already worked fine.
Now, do I dare install it on my B&W server with the Apple 4-port ethernet card? DOCUMENTATION, Apple!
