Seems very good but doesn't play well with Webroot

Pros
*Seems to do the job it purports to do, but this is hard for me to test as an individual who is not a technical pro *Light on resources, inconspicuous on its own (but see below) *Decent, simple, user-friendly interface. Especially considering that it's made in Korea and not (I assume) aimed at an English-speaking user base, the UI is surprisingly clear (and, yes, in English if you download the right version). Overall very simple to use. *It's free--and it's not like there's a ton of other stuff out there even attempting to do what this program does. I see a few others, which I plan to try. Can't yet compare since I've not yet tried as of this writing. I might later update if anyone expresses interest in such info. Sort of shocking to me how little the interest seems to be in this program, given the widespread reports of Ransomware and what it does.
Cons
*Based on my research, I feel moderately confident (but I concede not certain) that this program is safe. *The problem: My Webroot Secure Anywhere antivirus strenuously (and a bit too stridently) disagrees. At this point, I'm not sure whether this program and Webroot can co-exist on the same system. See below.
Summary
I've become concerned about reports of Ransomware and the inability of most antivirus engines to detect it. So I went searching for anti-Ransomware products. I didn't find much. AppCheck AR is put out by a Korean company. There's not a lot of English-language info on either the company or its products, but using Google Translate, I did the best I could. With a few hours' research, I tentatively concluded that AppCheck AR and its company are "probably" legit. (Disclaimer: I don't claim to be close to "certain.") I then downloaded the product but immediately encountered warnings from Webroot Secure Anywhere (my antivirus) that it was a Trojan. After a bit more research, I entered the downloaded file & associated executable on my Webroot "white-list," but that got me only so far. Webroot's "heuristic" seemed to prevent AppCheck AR from functioning. Since there seems to be little English-language info on AppCheck AR, I turned off Webroot long enough to test it a bit so I could provide this review. Tentatively, AppCheck AR seems quite good and might be useful for those who don't have heuristic antivirus. As for those of us in the latter group, I think (but am not sure) that Webroot and AppCheck AR can't work together. (Whether heuristic antivirus like Webroot protects against Ransomware, and if so how reliably, I still don't know & intend to soon research.) I hope something here is useful to someone else, but proceed with caution, AYOR, etc.
