It enables Project management professionals to identify and take suitable corrective action for problems arising within the supply chain. CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is a globally recognized professional certification offered by The Association for Supply chain and Operations Management (APICS) as a benchmark in production and inventory control. The program was established in 1973 for operations management professionals to equip them with knowledge of operations management involving demand management, sales planning, quality and performance measurement, capacity and material requirement and continuous improvement. Since its initiation, more than 100,000 people have received the APICS CPIM certification. To earn the APICS CPIM designation, operations management professionals need to pass five exams within 10 years: Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM), Master Planning of Resources (MPR), Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP), Execution and Control of Operations (ECO), Strategic Management of Resources (SMR). Exam Specifications: The exam comprises of a total of 75 questions and the minimum required score to pass this module is 300 (on a scale of 265 to 330).
