The Ap Geiriaduron contains the Cysgair general dictionary, as well as the standardised terminology dictionaries for schools and further education colleges in Wales, Y Termiadur Addysg, and for Universities in Wales, Geiriadur Termau'r Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. All these dictionaries provide English-Welsh/Welsh-English entries and can be used offline in case you do not have an internet connection.

Features:

* Offline dictionary for anytime searches

* English and Welsh user interface languages

* Demutate and deconjugate Welsh words to show their original form.

* Drill down feature to find more detailed information on specific words

* Wildcard Welsh searches; e.g. use it as a rhyming dictionary by searching for *aith to find all words ending in with

* Contains the Cysgair Dictionary, an easy to use descriptive dictionary with over 25,000 Welsh and 25,000 English words

* Contains Y Termiadur Addysg dictionary; funded by the Welsh Government as the dictionary of standardised terminology for schools and further education

* Contains the Geiriadur Termaur Coleg Cymraeg; containing definitions, images and diagrams; funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol as the dictionary of standardised terminology for Welsh-medium higher education

* Provides a gateway to the National Terminology Portal at termau.cymru for expanded searches

* Automatic updating of dictionaries as new words, terms and dictionaries are added

The Ap Geiriaduron is a Bangor University application, part-funded by a Go Wales graduate scheme. Further versions were funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethols Grantiau Bychan (small grants) scheme so as to adapt for including their dictionaries.

Mae'r Ap Geiriaduron yn cynnwys geiriadur cyffredinol Cysgair yn ogystal geiriaduron termau safonol ar ffurf Y Termiadur Addysg (sy'n darparu termau ar gyfer ysgolion a cholegau addysg bellach Cymru), a Geiriadur Termau'r Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol sy'n darparu termau wedi'u diffionio ar gyfer prifysgolion Cymru. Mae'r geiriaduron hyn i gyd yn rhai Saesneg-Cymraeg/Cymraeg-Saesneg all-lein lle nad oes arnoch angen cyswllt gwe i'w defnyddio.
