Tablets and PCs should have no problem seeing your new Android hotspot, and setting up a connection is fairly straightforward. Android-Wifi-Tether is packed with security features such as Wi-Fi encryption and access control. This software also offers some other great features that enable users to fine-tune their power output, change LAN settings and customize notifications. There are some minor drawbacks, however. Rooting of your device is required for this particular software to work, and compatibility seems restricted to the more popular devices.

Android-Wifi-Tether is simple enough for the beginner and feature-filled for the advanced user. It is particularly useful for users who do a lot of travelling in areas where Wi-Fi is limited.

So far it has not proven to be useful to me or help with connection between my phone and the computer. I could change my opinion if someone can help me find a solution to my inability to get to work. Sorry, I had hoped for great results for this program.

Clients (your laptop for example) can connect via wifi (ad-hoc mode) or bluetooth and get access to the internet using the 3G, 2G mobile connection or (in case you are using bluetooth) the wifi connection which is established by the handset.
