Used Akram Media Creator for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Although we applaud this program for its strong set of audio-related tools, we did find a notable performance flaw. Akram Media Creator converts files among popular formats; burns data CDs and DVDs; writes audio discs; rips CDs; and lets you edit audio files.
The easy-to-use interface has gotten a makeover and now boasts a handsome appearance. When converting files, the program supports popular formats such as WAV, MP3, WMA, RM, and OGG. The audio editor resembles other such tools we've seen, displaying a large view of the waveform to make tweaking files an easier task.
This utility also lets you apply effects such as flange and vibrato, and you also can apply filters. The CD ripper provides all the features we'd expect, and we're glad to say it now can access the Web to retrieve track information. Our biggest complaint with this program concerns the audio CD burner. In multiple tests with different files and different burning speeds, we could never get the utility to actually create a CD that our jukeboxes of choice recognized.
Still, since it mostly does its many jobs well, we think most average folks will be able to put Akram Media Creator to some use.
