Waste of Space, Time, Effort & Usage

It's great for making it look as if you're busy at work, when in fact you don't want to do any work. You can say to your boss "See it's loading." The truth is it never finishes to load, it starts and you get a pretty little box on the desktop indicating that it's loading and it's still there now - ten minutes after I tried to load it! (Version 6.6.0.261)

Too many to mention... Let's just say EVERYTHING! In a nut-shell, why? In order to use something it has to load and when you click it to load and all you get is a lovely message box indicating that's it loading, but it doesn't and won't load no matter how many times you try. The thing is pretty much useless!
Summary
Adobe should be a shamed of themselves having something included in a package as widely used as Photoshop and the Camera raw doesn't WORK!!! I'd hang my head in shame if I worked for Adobe!! It's PRETTY NAFF!!!!
Will not install. No help from Adobe either. Poor!!!

Don't know of any but I assume it will mess up CS3 if this is only for CS5 or just not work at all.
Summary
The review description says it works with CS3. I checked the Adobe site and they say this is for CS5. It replaces the one installed with CS5. It does not say it supports anything earlier. I'd like some confirmation that it works with CS3.
Wish I could get it to work properly.

The description for this download is that update works with CS3... It does not.. Adobe's Camera Raw Update 6.2 only works with Photoshop CS5, not CS4 or CS3 as the description states.
Summary
Adobe has stopped providing updates for Camera Raw Compatibility for CS4 and older. While I understand the desire to end support for legacy software, Adobe's short product life cycle and high costs for upgrades or new installations can make updating on Adobe's schedule cost prohibitive for most users.

Outstanding support for legacy Camera RAW formats - models long discontinued and unsupported by the manufacturer. Efficient batch conversion from Camera RAW into Adobe DNG (digital negative), a more stabile archival format.
Cons
No downside. By default, source Camera RAW files are not embedded within converted Adobe DNG files. Photographers wishing to maintain absolute flexibility may wish to toggle this preference to embed the source, at the cost of larger DNG image files.
Summary
Adobe Camera RAW is an important -- absolutely essential -- safety net for any photographer working in a Camera RAW workflow. Camera RAW may not be important to typical consumers and amateur photographers, but for advanced amateurs and professionals, it is critical. One problem working in Camera RAW is this format is unique for each brand and model of camera. Camera RAW is important for absolute control, but it is a dangerous format for long term image storage because manufacturers discontinue models and stop maintaining software. Sometimes manufacturers go out of business. Adobe Camera RAW is a safety net when the day comes that the photographer upgrades to a new computer, but the manufacturer has discontinued support and will not upgrade the software that shipped with a long discontinued camera. Without Adobe Camera RAW, photographers would lose their old digital images! Before adopting a Camera RAW workflow, photographers would be well advised to confirm their model is supported by Adobe. To err on the side of safety, it is probably wise to convert all Camera RAW images to DNG (with embedded source) as a form of backup and archival storage. This may be a bit redundant in an Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture workflow, and even undesirable for images maintained in Lightroom or Aperture. But DNG is probably the best failsafe image format available for archiving digital images.

It's apparently installed according to the installer but the camera raw plugin is 5.5 & CNET TechTracker sees this previous version too. Spotlight can't find it either.

I'm not actually sure what it's supposed to do but I think it's connected with PSE 8 when I attach my camera.
