Find and repair "ACL found but not expected" errors automatically.
ACLr8 is a Mac OS X command-line tool written in Python that will analyze your entire hard drive searching for files that cause the "ACL found but not expected" errors in disk utility, and remove all ACL from them. Although these errors are relatively harmless, they can be quite annoying and they cause permission repairs to take much longer than they should. ACLr8 is very safe, but of course you use it at your own risk.
Worked like a charm. It not only got rid of some error messages from Disk Utility that were merely annoying. It also cured major slowdowns, freezes, beachball spinning, which were crippling my iMac pretty much right after upgrading to Mavericks (which I wish I hadn't done).
Thank you!!!
Cons
none I encountered
Summary

Actually did what it said it would do. ACL's went from 2901 to zero. It was easy to use, but make sure you read the instructions.
