Have not known Yodot to recover anything that I could not recover using unrar.
Summary
I lost a partition on an external HD. I used MiniTool Data Recovery 6.8 to recover what I could. It recovered approx 60-70% of the files, all of which were in rar format. Of the recovered files approx 10% were corrupted to some degree. I was impressed enough with the MiniTool product to invest in this Yodot application. MISTAKE!!! This app has not recovered a single file that I couldn't recover with WinRar. Oh, it has recovered a few folders that WinRar didn't. In EVERY case, the folders were empty. Simply put I flushed $49 down the toilet. A word to the wise: Don't make the same mistake. In my experience this is a TOTALLY WORTHLESS product.
Has wider uses than just repairy of .rar files.

- Scan speeds are based on your computer's condition, its good the scans are fast and if its bad, they take forever. I know cuz I tested it out on two computers, one old n another a new one. - Works on password protected .rar files too. I really thought that one was a myth but turns out I was wrong!

+ Can't complain, its outrageously good at its work!

* RAR repair seems like a easy process or Remo rar repair makes it seem so. * I tested a password protected rar file and it really worked!

* Layout seems edgy, jagged. * Will get better with time.

Its worth the extra bucks and much more. It still has to learn a lot but it'll get there.

Repaired my password protected .rar file in about 40mins. Initially I did have my doubts but yodot rar repair delivered on its promises.
Cons
Had to wait nearly an hour for it to work its magic! It was worth it but surely not everyone is as patient as me.

The software found my file after hours of scanning. It shows my file in tact. I thought that was great but, after the scan, it prompted me to pay to retrieve it. So I paid the $50 but the file it retrieved was empty - not like the preview. Now they will not refund me for their faulty software.

I tried their 'Free Recovery'. They make you go through the entire process of using the product only to ask for a License Key when its time to save the files. Waste of time.
