Keeping track of time is an important element of life. Unfortunately, your desktop clock might not do the trick. XNote Stopwatch tries to be the solution to tracking your time.

This program presents itself as a large LCD clock that tracks everything from hundredths of seconds on up. Below the numbers are four simple cues, Start/Stop, Snap, Reset, and More, but it wasn't immediately clear what each one offered. For example, the More option takes you to a drop-down menu that gives users options to adjust color, transparency, font, and more. Still, it takes little time to explore this program. The most useful aspect is the toggle between stopwatch and countdown. The countdown lets you adjust the timer to any combination of hours and minutes, and alerts you when you have run out of time.

Don't expect anything fancy with this download. XNote Stopwatch functions very simply and does not offer many frills. If you absolutely cannot live without a stopwatch in your life, you could do worse than this simple download.

Pros
I like the fact I can resize and keep-on-top with transparency on my laptop screen, which has a premium on space. At the same time, as a freelance writer, I need as much screen space for my work, but need to keep track of time as well.
Cons
the nag screen, but it isn't obtrusive. I wish the timer had click-through. that would be a great addition.

Very,very configurable! Lots of options and easy to use.
Cons
Excessively too pricey ($34.74 USD). If this were closer to $10-$12 I'd buy it just to support the programmers. But at this price, it's just too pricey for a timer/stopwatch.
Summary
If they lowered the price to $10-$12 I'd register it in a moment. But with that high price tag, I'll stick with the freeware one or use my phone. I still gave it 5 out of 5 stars despite the one & only "con" to it.

i have just used it for my main need., ie. splitting times for audio/music formats, where the physical copy has no info., or (as is often the case) 'incorrect info'. the results window then gives the Gap Times, (after using the 'snap' function) these Gap times represent the Track Duration. Excellente !! far better than using my digital clock, which has been useful, but now is redundant. more functions available. like running audio or video or DVD disc's or Files., to examine their segments/duration. and more functions, i have yet to appreciate.
Cons
is more complex than using a digital clock., but with a practice run-through, is pretty basic. Thank God.and results are more exact, and provides more result details.

very glad i opted for this stopwatch, rather than go for the other listed result options {which provided Thumbnail views of the product available}

It would be fantastic if it can be prepared as a customizable program. Like , users will be able to write the purpose of using the countdown timer and it will be shown at the top caption rather than showing XNOTE TIMER all the timer all the time.

I work in a Call Center in The Netherlands and use xnotestopwatch to take my eyes from the monitor and stand up and do a 30 sec fitness stretch, every 10 minutes, to prevent fatigue during work.

Pros
I use it to keep track of how long each task takes in a project. I use Excel and have the time for each line item updated by using the SNAP feature. Once SNAP button is pressed, the time taken to accomplish the task is updated in the cell I chose.
Cons
none I have noticed.

Awesome product guys! I will be using this next weekend to place on a script for the comedian Dane Cook while he performs. The producer sent me a link for "Timeleft" which is what they use. I downloaded it and thought it sucked.

Big resizable window has countdown or count up in multiple fonts. Exports splits to Excel for the who need that...
Cons
Used it for a group speaking engagement. Start button too small. Some people from my speaking group got mixed up with the little "Reset" button. I know, monkeys are smarter.
