Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe takes your photos, videos, and audio tracks and transforms them into DVD presentations. It offers hundreds of transitions, effects, and clipart graphics with which you can create a compelling slideshow that you can then turn into a DVD or export as a file or YouTube video format.

Pros

Ideal for inexperienced users: Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe does not require any intensive user input, just the basic importing of photos, videos, and audio. The application guides you all the way to DVD burning and file exporting.

Wide personalization options: The personalization stage is the application's strongest feature. The many effects and graphics available stimulate your creativity, encouraging you to create beautiful presentations.

File export: Don't let the app's name deceive you -- it can export presentations in several frequently-used file formats and even publish them as videos on YouTube.

Cons

No video editing: Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe is not the best choice for content creators who want to put a truly personal touch on their video presentations. At $59.95, the cost of this app, you are in proper video editing software territory. While other video editors don't usually offer such a wide pallet of effects, they feature many frame editing features, which this software utterly lacks.

No interactivity: We would love to be able to mix our photos and videos in interactive DVD discs.

DVD compatibility issues: The test DVDs we burned were not compatible with our standard home system player.

Bottom Line

Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe targets beginners who want to create nice-looking slideshows with minimal effort. Although it tries to be an all-in-one solution, it lacks the video editing options that are indispensable for making great presentations. Besides, it's quite expensive.

You have other options besides buying this Wondershare DVD Slideshow Deluxe.

Cons
I have had this software for many years. There were processing problems from sloppy programming on Windows XP but it was usable. On Windows 8.1, it is unreliable. Reinstalling, save problems, processing problems. Repeated lost work. I have worked in tech support and software testing for many years, and have a well-maintained computer system. I gave Wondershare many opportunities to explain why I lost my work more than a few times, and had to uninstall and reinstall the software so many times. No resolution. Waste of money.

This is truly a case of a mistake being made, and we have since improved upon that specific software's capabilities, and what it can and will do. I understand and respect the opinion, and would actually ask folks to still give us a chance, as we have made great strides with the software since then!

Although you can make decent slideshows, the free version is a fraud.

Cons
Spent 3 hours making a slideshow, only to have a huge "Evaluation Copy" plastered over the final copy, blocking all my photos. This program is a fraud in that you must buy their full version and their free version will kill all your hard work. The program can't even full screen unless published. Take this as a warning. Terrible program and terrible concept of a "free trial". I wasted all my precious time because the company wants to scam you into buying their full version only after you've put your hard work and time into making your slideshow. Use another program - this one is no good.

It is true that we put a watermark on the software during the free trial period, however we do make sure to be open and upfront about that! It's mentioned a few times when using the software, and even before the export of the created file, as we don't want any surprises popping up on the users.

have lot of transition effects and support lot of formats

Cons
This program automatically installs Wondershare Player and changes all file associations automatically. Even though you uninstall it keeps installing again and again. This is clearly a malware. When I contact support they said they can't remove it.

"According to your issue, actually we have sent the problem to our programmers for improvement. But as this program has discontinued, so the problem has not been resolved and kept pending for such a long time. Please accept our sincere apology for any convenience caused to you."

Wondershare support team has been quite efficient in answering questions and provide support in a timely manner. This has eased my anxiety and has helped me in my work greatly. Wondaershare DVD Slideshow Deluxe has been a simple software to use for people like me who want to create good quality videos yet not ready to learn professional software. Will recommend to friends!
