Home of the world-famous Orgy season, WHRB is one of Bostons oldest radio stations, WHRB brings the creativity, intellect, and risk-taking abilities of Harvards student body to bear on nearly all genres of music. On weekdays, WHRB programming includes The Jazz Spectrum (5:00AM-1:00PM), Classical Music (1:00PM-10:00PM), and Record Hospital (10:00PM-5:00AM). On weekends, WHRB broadcasts The Darker Side (underground hip-hop, techno, funk, soul, electronica, and reggae), Blues Hangover, Hillbilly at Harvard, and additional Classical Music and Jazz Spectrum programs. The New York Times has hailed WHRBs Orgy season as "idealistic and interesting," adding that "the WHRB Orgies represent a triumph of musical research, imagination, and passion." Orgy season occurs twice a year, during Harvards exam period. The programming during Orgy season consists of long blocks of themed music.
