Pros
Over 350 channels to choose from. I have the files download at night and watch them the next day.
Cons
Some of the files take a while to download. I have DSL and some files are downloading just slightly above dial-up speed. If you have metered usage I don't recommend it. Some files are HD video and they are very large.
Summary
I currently subscribe(all free) to about fifteen channels and the video files are constantly downloading so you might want to adjust how much bandwith you want TVTonic to use. I've noticed a performance hit on my normal web browsing. Or just set it up to have the files download from midnight to 8am only.

NOTHING it's Malware.
Cons
It gets deep into your computer, it's hard to get rid of, don't believe support, I had to get "Revouninstaller" and then I had to go into Hot Keys and registry to remove existing stuff because it's like a weed, if you don't get it all it comes back.

It's Malware and it slows down your computer and it's really hard to get rid of it.
Vodcasts & internet TV on HTPC

Pros
Using with Vista Media Center on HTPC. This a simply a podcast/RSS 2.0 client (like iTunes) but is designed to work with VMC and your VMC remote - just what I need. It is the best way I have found to watch podcasts and RSS video feeds on the HTPC TV. Makes it a "TV-like" experience as opposed to computer. You can surf "channels" like you do on TV. Very slick, remote-friendly interface.
Cons
Couple of quirks which I am in the process of figuring out. If you're watching TVTonice then swith to something else, for ex. regular TV or music, once the other material finishes playing it will resume playing the TVTonic content by itself - very annoying. I don't see a way to "exit" TVTonic so this won't happen.

When I first got the program installed it would crash Media Center but not anymore. They have fixed the bugs and now it works great. Not all the content is useful but definitely a fun alternative for TV

We use this program more than any other in our Windows Media Center. This is IP TV. I cannot understand why Microsoft did not include an aggregator for RSS netcasts into WMC.
Cons
The download manager should be improved to allow for a disrupted download to resume instead of starting over.

We're sorry for the confusion but, as of TVTonic 3.2, there is no credit card or other personal information required to use the software. <p>The EULA language is left over from an older version of the software that did require this information. We'll update the EULA as soon as possible.
