  Pros

  -Fun -Funny -Easy to learn, no complex controls.

  Cons

  -Sometimes confusing. -Sometimes fails to recognize a game success (E.G. finishing an operation) and causes you to have to redo the operation. -Music is reptitive and annoying. -Glitches out -Bad controls.

  Summary

  The actual Surgeon Simulator game is much better than this version and can be purchased on Steam. This is basically the beta. CNet needs to fix this download.

  -Hilarious -It accurately shows a heart and two lungs in their proper anatomic location and reflects the roughly 5L total blood volume an adult has. -Not realistic at all

  -Not realistic at all -The hardest part is getting the hand to do what you want -No concept of tissue planes -Visualizes the inside of the body as a hollow cavity with a couple things in it

  Since I've actually seen surgeries (including one coronary bypass) in person, I can tell you there's no realism behind this game. For starters, if you were to do any sort of heart transplantation you'd likely need a heart-and-lung bypass machine. Second, dude, half the fun of surgery is opening and closing and finding the organ to operate on! Further, most of surgery is done with various clamps and sutures. None to be found here. This game is pure hilarity, but not realistic at all. Wanted to clear that up from the other reviewer... -A real medical student

  Very detailed simulation. The tools provided are exactly what are found in a real surgery room.

  Controls take some getting used to.

  Summary

  After mastering this extremely detailed and realistic heart surgery simulator, I've been inspired to become an actual heart surgeon. I've applied to the McGill school of medicine and will begin my journey to saving lives next September. This game is a must-play for any aspiring medical doctor.
