• Secure download eh?

  Oh so many, I just love adware (sarcasm). I guess if there was one I learned always use direct download.

  Cons

  Total adware that somehow is allowed by Cnet to be bundled with its "secure" installer. I am very tech savvy person and always uncheck any checkboxes for software I don't want, but somehow this mess installed onto my system without any permission and was a pain to remove (if I did at all I don't know)

  It just came from installing a program from cnet. I guess I can't trust cnet anymore for safe software

  Ummm.... it helped me learn more than I ever wanted to know about PC internals and getting rid of unwanted stuff??

  Let me count the ways! First, I'm not sure how this even got on my computer. I'm usually pretty careful about reading through installations and opting out of stuff that's bundled with apps I do want. Once it invaded my system, my anti-virus software went nuts, ads started popping up whenever I opened a browser, etc., etc.

  Summary

  If this somehow finds its way on to your PC, stop whatever you are doing immediately and take all measures possible to obliterate it from existence.
