• Ancient Empire Building Game!

  Pros

  The game has 2 modes to play in. World Mode, this is where you run your empire, manage your palace officers, governors and generals. The game is extremely detailed and complex (read the pdf manual that comes with the game!) For every problem presented to you, you have a number of choices to decide how to handle it; for example. You have an corrupt governor that is disloyal, you can execute, fire, or demote him. You may suffer other generals becoming disloyal from these actions. You can send in an occupying force to quell any motivation from him rebelling, you can try to appease his needs... more money, bestow honors and awards to him, give him self governing status (which you will submit control of the city.)or try to wait it out until he dies of old age. You can send him into battle with odds stacked against him. You can have him assassinated. You can send an person to corrupt him, thereby lowering his popularity, and reducing the number of generals that would aid him should he decide to rebel against you. <p>Each character has a number of characteristics; loyalty, honor, ambition, popularity, achievements, leadership, fighting ability, political ability, navel skill.. and a few others, each of these skills will make each character unique... some will make good or bad... governors, generals, trusted advisors. <p> <p>Once two or more enemy armies get within attack range on the world map a battle will emerge. The Battle Mode offers custom formations and works on a real time 3D battle surface, similar to other real-time 3D battle games. SnH has a few extras items such as ambush detachments, strike detachments and delaying detachments that a player can utilize. Each of these detachments do not immediately appear on the battlefield. Strike detachments will enter from the side of the map flanking the enemy’s base location. Delay detachments attempt to intercept strike detachments. <p> <p>All in all a very addicting game!

  Cons

  Multiplayer only supports battle mode. <p> <p>No dedicated server to arrange multiplayer games. <p> <p>In Battle Mode the mini map should have an option to fog troop movement that cannot yet be perceived on the 3D view. <p> <p>A need for an editor to create custom historical battles.
