This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I have used the Speed Tools Hi-Cap driver since 2007. I recently upgraded to Leopard. The old driver wasn't compatible. I went to Intech to get a "free update for life". No matter what I did with the links on their site, I kept ending up in a purchase scenario. My 2007 purchase is listed on my Intech account, so, even on their website, I'm considered to be a legitimate customer, eligible for an update. I tried to email -- dead link. I tried to call -- the number was disconnected. It was a Sat. and I needed to get my system upgraded and running by Sun. So I decided I had no other choice but to go through a repurchase, and sort it out with Intech when they contacted me. I received two emails - a confirmation and one from Eric Kelly <eric_intech@mac.com>. I replied to both, and here, two weeks later, have not received a reply from either. I now have no choice but to dispute the purchase and question the legitimacy of Intech with Visa. The software works well, but as for actual contacts, customer support, or free upgrades, The product works well, the company and website don't. I paid twice now, for a product I should have purchased once. I won't do that again. I'd recommend finding another product that does the same thing.

The installer errored out and would not run on a machine with a fresh software installation. Could not find a way to make the driver work. I believe it may not be compatible with 10.3.4. My inquiries received no response. I'm still hopeful that tech support or anyone at the company will get back to me but I'm not optimistic.

I went to down load it, having filled in all my credit card info, etc., and after it accepted my payment, nothing happened when I hit the final download button. I've contacted the company three times at the addresses shown on the web site but there's been absolutely no response. So now I'm out $25 and have a 250GB HDD that I can't install. BEWARE!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Who uses os 9 anymore? Not me. I have a large 250 GB drive which is normally mounted in a FireWire 400 case. Well, not only was it flakey in the FireWire case (sometimes it wouldn't mount), but it was slow too (about 32 MB/sec). I figured for 25 bucks it might be worth getting rid of the FireWire case and trying out. After installing the driver, I setup up the drive per the included instructions using Apple's Disk Utility w/two partitions. I then installed MacOS 10.3 and took it for a test drive. It boots great, it mounts everytime and I got an unexpected surprise, its now faster! My drive is now blazing at 48 MB/sec! For 25 bucks this is a steal.
