Adjust and limit the playback sound to normal level.

Sound Lock allows you to limit the volume of your playback by detecting the loudness and lowering it to the level you have set. So you no longer have to bother with the loud action scenes and sound volume going through the roof. Sound Lock adjusts the system volume per channel (up to 14 channels) and generates a smooth sound output by lowering the volume during loud scenes. It therefore enables you to watch movies without having to adjust the volume manually every time it increases over the level of your comfort. The application allows you to easily set the sound output limit by dragging the bar to the desired level. Sound Lock displays sound output level for every channel currently in use. There are also some additional features you may find useful, such as applying Sound Lock only to specific channels or sound devices.

Summary
My kid had this bad habit of maintaining loud sound while watching animated movies on the desktop while I was engaged with work on my laptop. Loud sound used to annoy one and all. I then found this software on the internet. This app does a marvellous job of maintaining the volume of our choice and locks on it, even though my kid increases the volume, sound lock takes care of it. Thank you very much !!!

Pros
This is a very small program, 640 kbs installed. Very, very light on memory and ram. Does not affect normal pc use except for volume as intended. Sooo very easy. Worked right out of the box for me. All I had to do was click the on button and slide the volume to were I wanted. It's Free and has no ads on it's clean and professional UI.

None so far.
Summary
I like to make play list of videos to watch at night before bed. Sometimes I'll fall asleep, and on many occasions I've been frightened awake by a movie that is much louder than the one I fell asleep with. Not to mention movies where the dialog is almost a whisper and everything else sounds extremely loud in comparison. I tried this out and it worked flawlessly. I won't ever have to worry about those occasions again!
