In spite of a very simple concept, repetitive gameplay, and few configuration options, this game still offers a low-grade challenge. In Slimy Blobs, you control a cannon in the center of the screen, which you must use to destroy the floating blobs before they can inflict damage. Shooting a blob makes it break down into smaller pieces, and since the enemy slime comes at you from all angles at once, you ll have to be quick to keep it at bay. Still, after you ve mastered that basic concept, you may find the game becomes a little monotonous since it doesn t have multiple levels to explore. The graphics are nothing special, and though we liked the well-recorded jazz soundtrack, it didn t seem too appropriate for this type of game. Although you can adjust the audio volume and tweak the graphic sensitivity, you can t play in windowed mode or reset the controls to your liking. Slimy Blobs will probably be most entertaining to children, but those folks looking for a quick game fix at work might also find some benefit.

Split or repel the attacking blobs into successively smaller blobs until they vanish completely.

Split and repel red, green, blue, and purple blobs in this combined action, strategy, and puzzle game. The action lies in the constant defense of the gun tower by splitting and repelling the attacking blobs. The strategic/puzzle aspects arise since the player has to anticipate the long-term effects of actions in the game. Splitting all blobs using a smart bomb, for example, gives great scores, but produces a lot of smaller blobs in turn.
