• Software is good, depending on your needs

  Pros

  Config tool works well for the main features you want. It definitely locks out your computer from drunks, kids and unstable people day in and day out, no issues there. Lots of customization can be found in the config tool. Kiosk software is responsive and quick, most users won't know they're locked down.

  Cons

  Always have issues of the program saying "2 instances of Site Kiosk are running", when there aren't, which forces us to run config from the admin user and waste a whole lot of time. Setting up more advanced features is counter-intuitive or clunky, we still cannot stop Adobe updater from popping up no matter what we try. Tech support reminded me more of a receptionist than anything, and that's coming from a slacker help desk jockey.

  Summary

  Make sure you have the latest version of SiteKiosk at all times as older versions start sporadically losing functionality, from what Provisio told us in not so many words. Otherwise, it's a great piece of software as long as you monitor it and lock it down very methodically. This software seems especially useful if your network contains highly sensitive stuff and you're dealing with hundreds of people a day. If you're a mom and pop store at a mall for example, you might want to look into something simpler. As someone else pointed out, you're essentially paying licenses for a password here.

  Pros

  You know I like the fact that you can download this thing that enables you to have a secure secure environment for when you have guests.

  Cons

  I didn't like the fact however that I downloaded it thinking it was the full version. I was thinking "oh this is so cool I'm getting this for free. It turns out that you have to get a license and w/out one your password won't work to get out.(accepts any) so as long as you have a good hotkey, it's not perfect but it still works quite well

  CNET-Introduce to the Web <p> <p>Downloaders-Pls.download unless people is going to access the os system if it is kiosk.

  Cons

  Unregistered versions did have a nagging screen and did not have locking like the arlington kiosk browser.But i still recommend you to use sitekiosk.
