  This is an amazing tool for PowerPoint. I'll suggest it to all those who want to make professional-looking quizzes and surveys on PowerPoint.

  Everything is great. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it isn't free.

  Pros

  This is the same great product that I have tried before, but with better support for PowerPoint 2007. In talking to their support staff, this is a relatively small release but with a major release to follow sometime in April...sounds interesting. Great support BTW!!!

  Small conversion issues, but nothing that either I couldn't work around or their support staff couldn't help with!

• Not So Perfect

  Pros

  If you're looking to share a basic presentation, this program does it very well. No rocket science degree required. Great for automated presentations inside the company, but I would not publish this sort of interface on the web for customers to see. But it is "chimp" friendly.

  Cons

  Its simplicity is also a weakness. The program has its own interface when previewing on the web. While this does a great job of giving the user controls to navigate the presentation, pause, etc., there is little you can do will the output file. Meaning- if you are looking for a program that give you 1 single SWF file that you can incorporate anywhere or on your own web page, you won't find that here (at least I couldn't). Also, noted in my sample presentation- the animation timing was sloppy in some cases; sometimes too fast, other times too slow, etc.

• Corrupts slide formating

  Easy to use, but fails basic requirements.

  Cons

  I have several slides that use nested bullets. Where these are repeated on the same slide, Publisher corrupts the font size and weight of the second instance. Reported it to support and told it was a known bug - which is surprising given than many users would have slide formats like this. <p> <p> <p>Also interested why the following website has identical user reviews as the first three reviews on this site. • Violates every security rule I know

  Pros

  Wouldn't know. Loading this application requires that I turn off all virus, firewall and spyware protections...which I refuse to do.

  Cons

  I can't think of a single reason that any software application should require that security be compromised in order to install and run the application. I have never run across a similar requirement and would not recommend doing business with any company that mandates such practices.

• Doesn't handle audio correctly

  Speed and precision of slide conversion

  Cons

  Presentation had audio file set to play through all slides (8). The converted file played the whole audio file during the first slide, then showed the other slides. Not acceptable for what I need it to do.

  Pros

  I have used PointeCast to send out two animated Power Point Presentations to my region. I was blown away by the positive response from all my managers. They were able to understand my presentation and several said, it was as though I were in the room. Needless to say I plan on doing a substantial amount of this type of communicating and training in the future. This is going to replace a lot of my Teleconference calls - because I can deliver the same info in less time, and have it available for review 24-7-365. I love it.
