  Pros

  Works great on Mac. Batch mode is very helpful when adjusting a camera date that is incorrectly set. Use this to reset a whole series of photos to the correct time without losing sequencing.

  Cons

  For batch mode, you can't select a bunch of files. You can only select an entire folder.

  Summary

  I have been searching everywhere for a quick, straight-forward user interface to alter EXIF metadata in batches. This completely fits the bill. Highly recommended.

My digital camera had been set to the wrong year, resulting in a whole mess of photos being EXIF stamped with the wrong year. I started off doing a find/replace using a standard text editor, but this was very slow and got tiresome in a hurry. Found PhotoInfo on Versiontracker, downloaded it, and within a minute I'd fixed all my photos. What more could you ask for? My only minor complaint is tiny interface issue in the Batch Change window: I would intuitively expect to see a "Change Now" or "Batch Change" button, rather than the "Show Changes" button. I especially like the tiny application size--no "feature bloat"!

However, it doesn't work for me at all; all blank exif dates stay blank no matter what I do. I don't even see any changes to the batch mode window.... I have lots of old scanned-in photos for which this utility would be great. Otherwise, great, simple to use product for photos taken by digital cameras

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I'm always merging photos from several peoples cameras (from vacations and camping trips) in iPhoto before exporting them to a web page but some people forget to set the date stamp on their cameras properly or at all so when you sort them by exif order of date, it never works out. This tool was EXACTLY what I needed to batch process a bunch of photos. It allows you to do relative offsets of dates and time on a whole directory of photos. This saves me from having to manually edit each photo's exif info! Thanks!!!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />great programming with easy-to-use batch facilities. the greatest thing is edits in date can be offset instead of absolute -- say all your photos have the wrong year because u didn't set your camera date properly, u can add one year to each photo in a few mouseclicks. superb!

I imported almost 400 pictures from an all-day event from four cameras... but didn't have the foresight to sync the time on the cameras first. Bad idea. iPhoto organized by date was all screwed up - drag the bad images from iPhoto into a folder, tell PhotoInfo to batch that folder, add or subtract the proper amount of time, and voila! Its a royal pain to export from iPhoto, change, then re-import and redo any comments, ratings, names, etc... but at least its better than changing the dates by hand one at a time. From an interface standpoint, a way to select/deselect all checkboxes in a column in batch mode would be very useful - I don't want to change filenames for any times, which means checking off 400 checkboxes one at a time... ouch! If you can integrate this with iPhoto, it will be worth large $$ and all the stars in the world! Until then, it gets 4 stars on its own.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Like the user below, all I want to do is use the exif capture date to set the Finder "created on" date for a bunch of files. I can do this one at a time with PhotoInfo, but not in batch mode. The option to modify finder file dates should be an option in the main interface, not a preference.
