  great if it was free, which it's not unless you only need to use it for 10 days.

  I'm not even going to waist my time playing around with it when I can only use it for 10 days before I have to purchase it. I was looking for something for free.

  All things done with drag-n-drop; basic and fancy tools for editing images; layer tools that even a kid can use; customizable templates - resize or replace any single element as you like.

  Cons

  Photo fix tools hard to find at first - eventually found them in Filters inside Frames and Effects.

  Summary

  I've been using the Collage Maker for a few weeks now - stumbled upon their demo on YouTube and got excited about trying a project with my own pictures. The program is really user-friendly, no matter if I use template pages, or start from scratch. Scrapbookers who are used to traditional ways will hardly feel the difference, except for the cost. You just pick your pictures, and play around, move the pics and clipart, change the frames, try different colors, until it's perfect. That would last long and cost a lot with traditional scrap supplies. So, if you were wary of digiscrapping, thinking you need to be good with computers to do it, the Collage Maker will make you change your mind.

  I had nothing but issues with this software. It is riddled with problems right from the start. Looks way too basic and the templates are childlike and silly.

  Summary

  I had nothing but trouble with this lousy piece of software and I am returning it and put a stop on payment through my credit card company. First of all I used the trial version and was given a key after paying for the full version and even though I entered the key number and it came back saying the software was now registered it still reverted to the trial version. I wrote an email to the tech support and all I received from them was a question asking what my order number was. I wrote back and gave that number with more details. I never heard from them again. About a week later I got the CD in the mail from them and uninstalled the trial version and installed what I thought was the Photo Collage Pro version. I was then faced with the trial version again where I entered the key number and once again it did not give me an error but was still the trial version and asking me if I want to order this product. By now I'm getting pretty angry. I wrote to them again and received no answer. I then went back and reviewed the email I had received with the order and checked the key and I found that I mistaken a zero for the upper case "O." I went back and entered that and it now seemed to be OK. I also had downloaded the extra templates and wanted to add those to the program which was awkward to say the least. Each has to be entered individually. So while I was doing that suddenly the program crashes and tells me I need to contact them as an error has occurred. I closed it out and start over again only to find out it's the trial version again. I entered the key and it reverted to the paid version and I proceeded to start adding more templates. I did a few and once again the program crashes and gives me the same error message and I'm back to the trial version again. I immediately contacted them and told them what happened and I called my credit card company who put this in dispute. I am returning this software and it's uninstalled from my computer. I can't understand how people can say this is good software. It's the worst piece of junk I've ever encountered and wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Another thing I don't like is you go to their website and nowhere is there an address or phone number so you can only contact them by email. I notice it says under properties if you right click on the .exe program icon it says the language is Russian so it's probably not made in the USA. The software came from a distributor and all that is on the mailing envelope is a PO Box number. From what I could see from the trial version there is nothing very special about this software at all. It's very basic and certainly not worth purchasing. To me it was nothing but a waste of time and aggravation.

  Nice, high resolution collages, clipart and frames and, most importantly, it's a pleasure to work with - everything is so well thought-out and handy.

  Neither the bold nor the italic buttons seemed to work on the text.

  Summary

  I purchased the product, but now I have found that Photo Collage Creator 3.61 (also by AMS Software) is rated higher. Probably Photo Collage Maker is a more basic version. Good for first-time users.
