OPlayerHD Lite takes advantage of the larger screen of the iPad to create a powerful, feature-rich media player you can use for nearly anything. From direct downloads to creating custom playlists and accessing files from your cloud storage or local network devices, OPlayerHD Lite is one of the best all-around media playing apps currently on the App Store.
When you open OPlayerHD Lite for the first time, you'll be confronted with a number of options. Layered by level on the left side of the screen, you can swipe to slide in and out of folders and file servers. You'll find options here for streaming out of iTunes, connecting to Dropbox, browsing and downloading files from the Internet, viewing your downloaded files and making playlists out of them. There are so many options here, in fact, that it can be overwhelming. Fortunately, the interface is well designed to keep them all from popping up on screen at once and making the app impossible to use.
If you are looking for an app that combines the disparate tool sets offered by iOS into a single, easy-to-use media browser, downloader, and player, OPlayerHD Lite is the app for you. It's not fully complete in its lite version - but it never feels like a free version. This is one of the best iPad media players on the App Store to date and well worth a download.
