Notability for Mac provides all kinds of recording tools, and it also supports annotating existing documents. With this app at your disposal, you won't have to worry about keeping an accurate record of things or about forgetting items that are really important.

Pros

Nice interface: Notability's interface is smooth and intuitive, with handy controls and the option to just drag and drop highlighted text from another document to copy it into the software. There is also an extensive and well-organized Help document to refer to, if you need information about getting started or how to complete certain types of operations.

Multimedia support: In addition to typing, drawing, and adding text boxes, you can also add audio and photos to your notes. Just drag and drop MP3, MP4, and photo files to include them, and resize or rearrange photos quickly and easily once they're in place.

Cons

No direct sharing: One noticeable limitation is the fact that you can't share documents directly. If you want to share something you've been working on, you have to export and save it as a PDF, RTF, or Note first, and then send it out via email or another messaging system.

Bottom Line

Notability for Mac is a great tool to have on hand when you need to make a note of something or annotate an existing document. Its intuitive interface makes carrying out any and all functions a snap, and its $4.99 price tag is a relatively small price to pay for its impressive functionality. If you're looking for a new way to take notes, this is definitely an app to consider.
