Mouse Trapper

Mouse Trapper is a handy utility that helps you keep track of your mouse, especially when you're working on multiple screens at once. With this tool, you can limit your mouse to one screen and control when it's permitted to cross over onto other screens. This can save you plenty of time and frustration, especially if you work with a multiple screen display on a regular basis.

The interface of Mouse Trapper is innovative and effective, as it consists of a cartoon mouse holding a sign listing your options for using the app. There is also a Help page that you can choose to have open upon the completion of the installation that explains what the program can do. You can choose to have Mouse Tracker start every time you open Windows, and to have it start minimized in the taskbar on the lower right-hand side of your screen. The app will also track the number of times your mouse crosses from one screen to another, both since you installed the app and during the current session. You can also pick your own hot key to permit the cursor to cross into another window.

The free version of this app contains the features listed above. If you'd like a little bit more functionality, you can upgrade to the pro version for $15. An upgrade gives you access to settings for determining which screens have restrictions and which don't, and it lets you snap windows against screen edges without crossing over. If you often work with multiple screens, this can be a handy addition to your toolbox.
