With MemoriesOnTV, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens.

The timeline view unifies the different aspects of the authoring process, allowing you to instantly set transition effects and preview how your slide show will run. Time-saving tools such as image- and scene-transition editors are cleverly presented as they're needed. For additional cost, you can download slide shows called ClipShows, which come with transition effects built-in; you just replace the sample images with your own.

On the negative side, customization for DVD menus is somewhat limited, allowing little more than power over background and placement of control buttons. Despite that shortcoming, the end results are impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.

What’s new in version 4.1.2

Version 4.1.2 added support for Windows 7, and includes bug fixes.

Great Video Making Program

Pros
You can immediately get down to business and take your pictures to make awesome videos that will express your feelings and have everyone saying "Ohhh". I recommend the PRO edition.
Cons
CodeJam has not come up with upadates to this program since 2009 and may not work (I have not tried it yeat) with Windows 8.

Pros
I have found earlier versions of this program easy to use, I didn't bother to go very far with this trial version once I saw the huge watermark imposed diagonally across every frame.
Cons
Huge, obnoxious watermark on the trial version. Installs malware searches/toolbars with no opportunity to opt out.
Summary
I was working on a frivolous project and needed a program with broader capabilities than MS Movie Maker. I had tried MemoriesonTV several years ago and was pleased with it. I downloaded the latest version only to find the obnoxious watermarks in the current trial version. Well I wasn't about to shell out 60 bucks for this little frivolity so I promptly uninstalled it and found a workaround for Movie Maker. A couple of days later I start noticing weird popups and that my searches had been hijacked (by a search engine thinly disguised as Bing). I was ticked off. When I looked into I found these were installed when I installed MoTV. I may have overlooked it, but I was on the lookout for an opportunity to uncheck a box for lame add-on programs and didn't see one. It gets one star for this reason alone.(I can't fault them too much for the watermark deal, but it still sucks if you want to try it out-the output is useless)Honestly, based on past experience with earlier versions I probably would have just bought a copy if the price were more in line with the level of the product.

very good software, I have used this memoriesOnTv from the oldest version to the latest ver 4.1.2. I use this software to make film from other format. It has all the features I need, I can synchronise the music to the portion of film I wanted, I can shortent the clips, or copy and paste. this is a brilliant software, I burn my film in NTSC system and Pal system, DVD or CD and the family film I made can play to any dvd or cd player with no problem at all.

All the cons I have encountered from the oldest ver has solve in the latest ver 4.1.2

Pros
I like making slideshows accompanied by music for posting to YouTube. This does a good job of allowing creation of fairly elaborate transitions and effects.
Cons
My slideshows involve fairly precise timing of slides against music. It would be good if it weren't quite so easy to throw off the timing of the rest of the slideshow when making adjustments to particular sections. Better section isolation needed.

i have been useing momeries on tv for the past four years at the beginning i was have a bit of problems but the people in Singapour are so noce the solve my problem with ease . my self i take a lot of pictures of nature ,birthday ,and put music to the picture on a lightscrib disc and give copies to all my friends they love what you can do with the program . the day i was burning 372 pictures of a trip to portugal there was one corrupt picture witch i had to find as if would not work until if was found .well worth the price. This is an evaluation version which puts that watermark on all the outputs. License costs too much and moreover the software is very slow. To load, the photos, to create a video, whatever.

Very fast learning curve, you can start burning you slide shows in minutes

needs a face-lift, no significant advancements in this version. Some effects cut or hide photos in funny ways.
Summary
Very nice, easy and inexpensive software, but do you really need it? Today most PCs / Macs come with pre-installed movie makers/video editors, most DVD burner software includes such functions. So the question is "Do you really need an additional software for creating a photo slide show?"

Pros
Creation of DVD's for distribution was simple. So simple, I used the program to create 15 DVDs instead of using my DVD copy program. It was also very simple to create the ON-Line presentation for distribution on our family web page.
