This tiny tool quickly locates and displays your local IP address and system information, but you'll find its trial limitations maddening. With its small, skinnable interface, Ip Madness also can identify your computer host name with a click and view your Internet connection status. You can set it up to run at start-up or allow it to minimize to the system tray. As a bonus, it includes a text editor that timestamps every action of the program. Although the utility boasts of additional IP tools and the ability to e-mail your IP address, these options only are available with the full version. This program annoyingly closes after only a few minutes of use and each time you attempt to access a feature unavailable in the trial. Despite its restrictions, anyone who needs to quickly identify your IP address will be satisfied with Ip Madness.
