This free toolbar offers instant access to your IMVU account, but that's about it. Don't expect to find other standard toolbar features here.

For those of you unfamiliar with IMVU, its a 3D instant-messaging community where you create your own avatar. IMVU Toolbar stretches across your Firefox window and includes several shortcut buttons that link you to various IMVU services, mostly to chat with other users and to shop for accessories for your avatar, which, by the way, are not free. You have to purchase credits to buy any accessories. The toolbar itself can't be customized and you won't find such standard features as a pop-up blocker or weather forecast. Once we created our IMVU account, we were able to quickly access all of the various IMVU services and chat with other users. Clicking on each shortcut button introduced a new browser window, though, which was a little annoying.

Overall, the toolbar worked well for us, but its limited features will only benefit IMVU users. If you're in the market for a basic toolbar, this isn't the one for you.
