IBasic has syntax similar to BASIC languages, which most are familiar with such as Quick BASIC or Visual BASIC. IBasic can compile standalone Windows programs, 3D games, and utilities. No external runtimes are needed to distribute software created with IBasic.

IBasic offers: full MDI (Multiple Document Interface) support; dynamic window, dialog, and control creation; simple BASIC like syntax; over 240 commands and functions built-in; access to DLL's and the Windows API for unlimited extensibility; structured data types (UDT's) fully supported; console support and console compiler; graphics primitives supported; bitmap, JPEG, GIF, Cursor and Icon support built in; Wave file support.

I love IBPro! IB Standard is nice but IBPro is the future for the IB language.

Pros
Great community support. <p>Regular and siginificant updates to the product. <p>IBPro is getting objects in the next update! <p>The help that the author provides is extremely competant. He goes out of his way to make sure you understand the concepts. <p>All updates are free! <p>There are more and more command paks to choose from, a database and a 3D pak, soon a sound pak. <p>IBPro integrates very well with Windows, better than most of the other basics I've used. <p>The compiles are true standalone executables. They're small and fast! <p>It looks like IBPro will also be getting hash tables for instant dynamic list lookups! Very very effecient! <p>IBPro is extremely stable, and it's only been out for less than a year.
Cons
The documentation is good but not as full or descriptive as I need. <p>The IDE is too basic for my tasts. (There are a few replacement IDE's available and version 2.0 will give a new and very useful IDE with things like sprite editors and function folding and code completion.) <p> <p>umm... There aren't too many bad points for this product. <p> <p>I'm worried about the author charging so little money for his product. I don't want to wake up one day soon to find Pyxia dead and gone.

Pros
IBasic is easy to learn, but also easily powerful enough to produce commercial grade windows applications and games. This and the fact you can get help and support from other users and the ‘author’ himself (who often goes out of his way to help and provide examples) at the forums, means I can’t really think of anything bad to say about IBasic. I registered my copy within hours of trying it.

Summary
IBasic is a very great language. Easy to learn and there is an unthinkable good service and help on the IBasic Forums. The executables you create are realy standalone, unlike languages like Visual Basic that need external components. Very low price for what you get for it! I'm very content with it.
