  Cons

  C|net installation of Claymation Studio didn't work at all... but installed a Snap-do toolbar instead... Brought my laptop to a crawl until after I uninstalled it.

  Summary

  Don't install from C|net... get it straight from Honestech site (they also have a trial version.) I'm currently evaluating the trial version of Claymation Studio (which installed just fine from Honestech site without installing other than the application.) So far it looks to be sufficient for what I want it to do.

  Summary

  After repeated attempts to install Claymation Studio, I gave up because the only thing I got when it ran was the error: "The procedure entry point ht_Product_ShowProductDialog could not be located in dynamic link library ProductReg.dll"

  Pros

  Offers essential features for stop motion, including onion skinning, film preview, output to .avi format. <p>Works with DV and USB devices. <p>Allows for FPS adjustments. <p>Lets you add sound to films. <p>For the price, this is a very attractive option.

  Cons

  May lack some features of higher-end products, but this is very good bang for the stop motion buck.
