Encrypt the transferred data and stay anonymous online.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology to use a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or individual users with secure access to their organization's network. In other words VPN is your personal secured connection to a website, e-mail, chat, payment system and others via VPN provider server. All the data is encrypted. VPN is used by bankers, brokers, Wi-Fi users, gamers, bloggers, everyone who cares about their network security. VPN is also often used in order to skirt the ban and get an access to websites, which are blocked in local network or in the whole country. For example, you work in an office and your system administrator has cut off your favorite social network or an online dating site. Connect to your VPN and you will be no longer limited in chatting with buddies, meeting new people online or looking through some spicy things. Getting other country's IP instead of your hidden one is another important advantage in using VPN.
It doesn't bode well that the website for the manufacturer has been taken down. I would like to try it, but I would like to know there is tech support available in case of problems. If they have been out of business for a while, the version on CNET would not be Win 10 compatible.
Summary
Not enough secirity
AH_Roberts
Pros
It's free.. that's about it. But it can't compare to the security levels of vpnexpress.net.
Cons
They don't provide enough security. We need OpenVPN.
Summary
Free services just can't cut it anymore.
very minimal info
MandeeStephens
Pros
True in general, but does not apply to all.
Cons
Info is very vague. For example VPNs encrypt at different levels and degreese.g. openvpn like ExpressVPN (https://expressvpn.biz) is SSL based, and access is only granted depending on what was blocked in the first place e.g. the IP the office uses is blocked so any other IP can access those sites.
Summary
It's not as simple as that, and there are so many kinds for so many different purposes.

Summary
I hope they pay their domain and remain in business!
