Geared to the first-time non-linear video editor, Wondershare Video Editor provides all the freedom you need to arrange clips and music with a wealth of available filters and transitions. This is a beautiful and capable piece of software.

Pros

Effects, transitions, PIP: Wondershare Video Editor features a wide array of effects that become beautifully visible in the timeline. The results we achieved were tasteful, and we would be hard pressed to distinguish them from those of editing software that costs many times more.

Everything in view: You will like the fresh-looking black and purple interface with its well-indicated functions and discreet buttons and graphics. Although there is no dramatic departure from common NLE designs, we found our way around it incredibly quickly, because the playback and timeline panels are always kept fixed -- only the top left panel is taking the form of each function or effect.

Wealth of import and export options: Imported files from four different SD/HD sources were handled with ease. Export options are rich and geared for novice users with easy-to-understand decisions of device, format, social network, or DVD -- each with its own sub-options.

Cons

No effect or transition editor: This is the only feature that we feel is missing; with it, this app would be even better.

Bottom Line

Wondershare Video Editor stands out as possibly the most beautiful and effective video software we have seen in a long time. It contains all the basic tools you need to enter the exciting world of NLEs. All in all, it brings enjoyment to video editing, and we definitely recommended it for novice NLE editors that want to be creative without the straitjacket of predetermined workflows and templates.

No refund with free trial

Did not have a chance to try it.
Cons
They did not refund my money after the supposedly free trial period despite multiple emails back and forth. They said they did but it never came onto the credit card as a refund. They have lots of small print details on the free trial...read it first and then may be you will be lucky with your refund.

I have used an older version of filmora. Recently made a purchase and updated to the version 8.0 in the hope of a 30 day money back guarantee. It was the start of problems. The software infected my computer with buggy updates causing the program to crash. The video export being slow and audio out of sync from the clips most of the time. All the technical support did was nothing but pushing the alternate updates with bugs. They started to play games when I asked for the refund in the event of technical problems that arouse after installation. I have replied them that I am going to consumer court. The social media in FB blocked me for asking help. My emails were blocked. I have contacted my community support for filing a case against them at consumer court or small court. A company with no telephone or chat support other than email customer service, that too from China. I expect nothing less. Such scam artists these guys are. Please beware !!!

Filmora version 7.02 is loaded with basic and advanced video editing features for most video editing needs. Compared to other video editing software packages, Filmora comes with all the features and capabilities needed to produce slick and visually exiting video clips or movies.
Cons
Free trials - while providing you with all the standard and advanced features out-of-the-box, it places a watermark over the finished video that cannot be removed once produced (unless you save the project and re-create the video from there).
Summary
All in all, Wondershare Filmora is well worth the low license/purchase cost and investment in time learning the product to produce slick and visually exciting videos and movies.

Pros
As a non techy person, I have tried many editors, with not great results. Found Filmora and my videos are as good now as even the best made by pros. Really simple to use and get online. I don't often,if ever, comment on software, but this one is worth the time and definitely gets a 5 star rating.
Cons
The free version with the watermark was the only complaint I had, but it is understandable.
Summary
I would recommend Filmora to anyone.

Very simple to understand and use the product; some items self explanatory; projects come out very nice; used to create highlights for sports
Cons
Start up was a little difficult, as I couldn't figure out why it wasn't opening up in Mac, and I could no longer find my project after i turned off my computer.

Overall, it's a great product, very affordable, easy to use for the novice editor new to creating highlights

I've tried other video editors, and Filmora is much easier to figure out than Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. I was hoping that Avidemux would do the trick, but it's pretty bare bones and kept crashing when I tried to export the video. I'm glad I found Filmora!
Cons
The watermark with the free version is a pain, but it's a good way to try it out and see how it works.
