• Best backup solution for small business

  Pros

  In a small company with only 5 employees, easeus todo backup server perfectly satisfy our request for both functions and budget. And it also easy to add license if we have more servers.

  We use server edition for server, and workstation for xp and win8, works fine.

  Pros

  No real benefit. About all those users who swear by it and say they've saved thousands of dollars: For one, they're probably fake reviews, or reviews by people who have used the home edition, or small business users with one server and have never tested their one backup. Secondly, to say that you've saved a lot of money by purchasing this product over its competitors is like saying that you've saved thousands of dollars from buying a particular car by purchasing a red pull-wagon instead. A red pull-wagon which is incidentally missing the wheels - but you've saved money because you only spent 8 thousand instead of 12 thousand. On a thoroughly non-working red pull-wagon on which the most essential part of your company's disaster recovery rests.

  Cons

  Nothing. My hand was forced to purchase this mega-cheap (and even cheaper in quality) backup software because "we would implement virtualization soon anyway". Out of 18 servers, only 5 installed correctly out of the box, only 4 have had no problems, and there are randomly-failing backups. Tech support is beyond believably asinine: e-mail only, forget about their "remote assistance" they never do it even if you request it after weeks of problems, you are extremely lucky if they answer you even once a day, if you send more than one e-mail with separate problems they will only answer one and ignore the rest, more e-mails trying to overcome the language barrier than actual communication taking place, no one tech handles the problem they instead play musical techs. And the scheduling system is also ridiculously prohibitive. In order to do incrementals and full backups on the weekends, you have to use the same schedule every single day.

  Summary

  Don't get it. It will be the worst I.T. decision you'll ever make. I'm still trying to convince our higher-ups to return this abomination, (if that's even possible). I wouldn't place any trust whatsoever on this software.

Once I downloaded I was told to erase the free version I had downloaded previously. I was prompted to restart for the program to be applied. When the computer rebooted the program had disappeared.
